Travel Fellowship for Social Welfare or YMCA Archives

Announcing the Clark Chambers Fellowship for travel to use collections in the Social Welfare History Archives or the Kautz Family YMCA Archives at the University of Minnesota.

Preference is given to dissertation writers and early-career scholars. Both U.S. and international scholars are invited to apply.

Travel fellowship funds may be used for transportation, lodging, meals, and document scanning.

Applications should include a vita; a brief research proposal that identifies source materials to be used at the Social Welfare History Archives or the Kautz Family YMCA Archives; an estimated travel budget (itemizing expenses up to $800); and not more than two reference letters. The postmark or email deadline is April 15 each year. A selection will be made within 4-6 weeks; funds are then available immediately.

The Clark Chambers Fellowship was established to honor Social Welfare History Archives founder, Clark Chambers.
