The St. George Tucker Society, an interdisciplinary scholarly organization dedicated to the study of the American South, is proud to announce its annual M. E. Bradford Dissertation Prize. The award recognizes the best dissertation focused on the South, any time period and any discipline. The prize carries a $1,000 award and an expense-paid trip to discuss the project at the Society’s annual meeting. Attendance at the meeting in Asheville, North Carolina to be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 to Saturday, July 30, 2016 is mandatory for receipt of the prize.
Eligible dissertations will have been completed and defended in the 2015 calendar year and must be written in English. Self-nominations accepted. Please submit a letter of application, CV, dissertation abstract, and electronic copy of the dissertation by April 1, 2016 to Regina D. Sullivan email@example.com.
