The Journal of Sport History is seeking to expand its pool of scholars for book reviews. The Journal of Sport History, which is published three times a year, includes approximately 30 book reviews per issue.

We invite interested reviewers to send a brief message to Book Review Editor Jerry Gems at grgems@noctrl.edu that includes a note on the applicant’s academic background, professional qualifications, and research interests. Please include a short list of publications and teaching fields.

JSH reviewers will normally possess a doctorate (although we will consider ABDs.) and publications in the field. We welcome promising new researchers as well as senior scholars. Those who require information regarding the format, scope, and length of the book reviews published in JSH are encouraged to see the book review guidelines.
