The Scarecrow Press seeks chapter proposals for a book titled Representing Women’s Intellect in Film & Television fot its History and Film Book Series. Proposals are due June 1, 2013. 

Proposals should focus on issues such as the ways  Hollywood controls expectations about the brains of women, how smart women are viewed as threats to the social order, the ways in which women are cast as the counter-intellectual to men of superior intellect, etc. ?
